The context of this body of work focuses on the richness of Welsh culture, heritage and industrial craft traditions. Through taking inspiration from industrial equipment from the slate mining industry, I have tried to elevate and commemorate the stories and traditional techniques behind their production. My aim is to take the inherent qualities of these objects, and create a personal response to their contextual history.
